At dawn on 23 April 2026, with Venus in Taurus, the rose was laid down beneath the Seven Sisters. The Great Name was invoked, and the work was sealed and set aside to wait.

The Greeks knew them as seven daughters of Atlas, turned first to doves and then to stars to escape Orion. When they rose in spring, Hesiod said, the sea opened to sailors; when they set, the storms came. In the North, folk naming made them a hen and her chicks — some call them Freyja’s hens, a flock laying golden eggs of love and life force. That is folklore, not the Eddas.

“Under the constellation of Pleiades, they made the image of a little Virgin, or the Figure of a Lamp… to reveal secret and hidden things.” — Agrippa, Three Books of Occult Philosophy, II.47

“Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion?” — Job 38:31

The Pleiades

This series was made to bind a timeline to a better one.

Not as a gentle suggestion, but as the kind of working that can alter the course of a life if the one who carries it chooses. The intention is the ultimate magic of Freyja’s protective nature — the goddess who keeps her own, who taught seidr, and whose sacred hens are the Pleiades themselves. In Norse reading those seven (and more) are not only sisters; they are her flock. They lay the golden eggs of fertility, abundance, and the life-force that continues after loss. To call them is to call the part of her that gathers what was scattered and holds it safe.

Across the sky the same cluster has always been pursued. Orion rises behind them, the hunter who never quite catches. Between the hunter and the sisters stands Aldebaran, the red eye of the bull, whose name means “the follower.” He walks after the flock and, in the old geometry of the heavens, keeps the space between them. Nearby hangs Algol, the Gorgon’s head, the star long worked for protection that turns harm back upon itself. The cluster is not unprotected. It is a company that has been watched over for as long as people have looked up.

Beneath them run the nine daughters of Rán, the waves themselves, whose salt, sand and kelp carry their tide into the incense.

In that same April working the main ingredient in the incense and the pigment was made from Japanese wisteria (fuji, Wisteria floribunda). The plant was chosen because its hanging racemes are a living cluster: many small blossoms bound on one vine, falling together the way the Seven Sisters hang together in the sky. In Japan the Pleiades themselves are called Subaru — “to unite,” “to come together.” The same word-family that names the star-flock also names the flower that binds many into one.

Japanese wisteria is native only to Japan. For centuries it remained a plant of the islands alone. It was not brought to the West until the 1830s, long after Chinese wisteria had already arrived. Until then the vine, the purple, the long cascading racemes, and the name fuji belonged to Japan. The Fujiwara clan took their name from it — “wisteria field” — and used the blossom as their crest. Purple itself was once restricted to the imperial court. The vines are long-lived; some specimens are more than a thousand years old. The plant climbs, clings, and endures. Its flowers hang downward, many on one stem, a bound company.

In Korea a story is told of twin sisters who both loved the same man. Unable to resolve the claim, they drowned themselves together. In death they were reunited and transformed into the wisteria vine: one sister became the grasping, twisting stem, the other the delicate leaves and flowers. The man they loved followed them into the water and became the tree the vine climbs. The story is one of devotion that outlasts separation, of two who became one plant, of a cluster that continues after the body ends.

The pigment made that April morning has remained in the fridge through every move since. It is the material thread that carried the working forward. The color is that same pigment: the cluster of the vine offered to the cluster of the stars.

It was always meant to rise now, at the Venus Cazimi, in the heart of the Sun. This is the last Venus in Scorpio retrograde of this lifetime. With this release the door is shut on the filth, the decay, the constant moving and the loss of 4th house sorrows. What was gathered in spring comes out into the light, and the door closes and locks behind it.

The chart tonight stands nearly as it did then. The same door is open. What was begun with the hens and the sisters, with the pigment and the pearls, is ready to be carried.

These pieces are for the one who is willing to bind the timeline, to step under the protection of the flock, and to let the course of the path change.

The time for reaping is now.

Talismanic Ensouled Materia — The Pleiades

Raw Druzy Crystal Cluster
$65.00

Raw power in its natural, untouched form which has sat incubating with her sisters for these long months. This particular stone I remember WANTING to come home with me so bad for this working that I literally stumbled, fell and landed on my butt for it. But it was also to beautiful and perfect as it was and I felt like making any changes to this stone would have a negative impact.

Druzy crystals hold the strongest energy in my experience as they come raw from the earth, and demand to be seen. To be held. To be put sacredly on ones’ altar to draw in the very powers of the land, and whatever other power it has been embued with.

From time to time we offer raw stones that fit this criteria, though it is rare.

Because of its power, it is offered at $65.
