Smoky Quartz Palm Stone: The Veil Between
Smoky quartz is crystal that has gone through the dark and come out clear. Its smoke comes from deep inside the earth, where natural radiation over long ages darkened the quartz. It's light that walked into shadow and kept its clarity.
In crystal tradition smoky quartz is one of the great grounding and protective stones. It is held to draw off heaviness, fear and old grief and return them to the earth to be composted. It is said to cut through negativity, steady the body during upheaval, and carry you through endings without losing yourself. This is the stone of the threshold, which suits a working released at the Cazimi to close the door on decay and loss.
Carry it in your palm when the world feels like too much. Let it take what you no longer need to hold, and keep the light that stays.
While not ensouled, the name Al-Wadud, the sacred name of Venus herself, has been written on this stone at the height of the election.
